Since the launch of the Kwale County Action Plan on the Prevention and Countering Violent Extremism, HURIA has been working closely with various stakeholders National Counter Terrorism Centre – KenyaKwale County CVE Forum to enhance its capacity and commitment to preventing radicalization and countering violent extremism in the County.
HURIA is now propelling the conversation further with Policymakers to push for substantive measures that will anchor the PCVE efforts in county laws and policies to ensure sustainability and sufficient resourcing.
We are grateful to the Kwale County Assembly and the County Attorney for demonstrating support and commitment to the adoption of the county #PCVE Model Bill which will enhance the reduction of violent extremism in Kwale County.
